On May 27th, 2008, Barack Obama was in in town and spoke on the massive housing crisis in our country and specifically here in Las Vegas. Regardless if you agree with Obama or not on his policies and his positions, he is candidate that transcends normal politicians.

His speeches DO matter. He rallies and inspires folks into action. This is the epitome of leadership - not management. We will see how good a manager he is, but as a leader, he might be the best this generation will ever see.

I have always said that the best way to stem the tide of foreclosures is to stop the re-set’s. Allow people to push the pause button and wait for the storm to pass. Allow forebearance on the re-set’s only, not the repayment of the loan or resetting at some point in the future - keep these, but just allow people to wait until things get better.

This is one step in the right direction and Obama hits on this and MANY more specific fixes.
